PRESS RELEASE

On August 3, 2022, State Police arrested Serina Rodriguez, 31, of Troy, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, and Duane Collins Jr., 34, of Albany, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor and Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor.

On August 3, 2022, at about 7:33 p.m. State Police in Clifton Park stopped a vehicle on Vischer Ferry Road in Halfmoon, NY, for a cell phone violation.  Rodriguez was operating the vehicle, and Collins Jr. was a passenger. The investigation determined there were active court orders against both parties, which required them to stay away from each other.   Collins Jr. initially provided a false name and date of birth to avoid arrest.

Rodriguez and Collins Jr. were arrested and transported to SP Clifton Park for processing. They were both issued appearance tickets returnable to the Halfmoon Town Court on August 20, 2022 and released separately to avoid additional violations of the orders of protection.
