On February 20, 2023, State Police of Wilton arrested Jamie R. Brewer, 26, of Greenfield, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Petit Larceny.  Alexa M. Scott, 29, of Fort Ann, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

On February 20, 2023, at about 4:39 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on Saratoga Road in Moreau, NY, after witnessing a fuel theft from the Stewarts on State Route 9 in Moreau, NY.  Brewer was identified as the driver, and Scott as the passenger.  Brewer was taken into custody for the larceny and an outstanding warrant.  Scott was also arrested due to an outstanding warrant issued by the Glens Falls City Court. Further investigation located multiple controlled substances, including cocaine and a glass smoking device containing drug residue in the vehicle.   

Both were transported to SP Wilton for processing.  Brewer and Scott were arraigned at the Moreau Town Court. Both were released on their own recognizance.  Brewer was turned over to the Saratoga Springs Police Department for the outstanding warrant.  Scott was transported to SP Queensbury, where she was processed for her outstanding warrant and turned over to the Warren County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
