State Police arrest two in Albany for drug possession

On January 22, 2023, State Police of New Scotland arrested Laquicia N. Fox, 38, of Albany, NY, for three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.  Kanetta Louis, 36, of Albany, NY, was arrested for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

On January 22, 2023, at about 8:45 a.m. Troopers were on patrol in the area of Robin Street in Albany, NY. Troopers observed Louis in plain view of the public attempting to use drugs, utilizing a glass smoking device, Fox was sitting next to her. Further investigation determined that both Fox and Louis possessed narcotics and glass smoking devices containing drug residue. 

Both were transported to SP Guilderland for processing. Both were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on January 23, 2023. Fox and Louis were turned over to Albany Police Department, as they both had unrelated outstanding warrants for their arrest.
