On January 26, 2023, Troopers arrested two 15-year-old male juveniles for Criminal Possession Stolen Property 3rd, Fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment 2nd, and reckless driving.
On January 26, 2023, around 5:30 p.m., Troopers were informed of two 15-year-old males from Wynantskill, NY stole a 2013 green Ford F250. Troopers located the possible stolen vehicle at the intersection of Duana Street and Harrison Place, in the town of Fort Covington, the Trooper attempted to stop the vehicle. The 15-year-old, who was operating the vehicle, failed to comply, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. A stinger deployment was successful, and Akwesasne Tribal Police Department attempted moving roadblock, when the 15-year-old lost control of his vehicle and entered the north shoulder of the roadway coming to rest.
The two 15-year-old driver and passenger were arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing. The 15-year-old male driver was arrested for CPSP 3rd, Fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment 2nd, and issued a traffic ticket for reckless driving. The 15-year-old male passenger was arrested for CPSP 3rd. Both were released on a Family Court Appearance ticket returnable to Franklin County Family Court.
