Town of Ulster- On January 1, 2021 at approximately 5:05 a.m., State Troopers from the Kingston barracks observed a 2018 Dodge Ram pick-up pulled over on State Route 28 in the town of Ulster with its emergency flashers on. Troopers pulled over to conduct a courtesy check to see if the occupants were ok. While speaking to troopers, the operator of the vehicle identified herself as someone else. Troopers later determined that her name is Lauren Armanie, age 34 from Shandaken. She was subsequently arrested for Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree, a misdemeanor. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Darion Alls, age 50 from Newark, NJ. Troopers learned that Alls had an active warrant from New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS). He was subsequently taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle yielded:

A Ruger SR 9mm Luger Stainless/Black Pistol
17 round SR9 9MM magazine
High-capacity magazine containing 21 rounds
crack cocaine weighing approximately 48 grams along with a digital scale
white and blue fentanyl pills weighing approximately 39 grams 
Buprenorphine and Naloxone weighing approximately 7.8 grams
Glassine envelopes

Darion Alls was charged with Violation of Probation, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, all felonies. He was also charged with the misdemeanors Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Unlawful possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.

Armanie and Alls were arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court in front of Town Justice Weiss. Armanie was released on her own recognizance and Alls was remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash/$60,000 bond/$100,000 partial secure bond.
