On February 8, 2022, The New York State Police Troop F Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Postal Inspection Service concluded an investigation into a town of Goshen residence which was receiving shipments of controlled substances through the US Mail. A search warrant was executed at the residence, and Muhammad Iftikhar, 42, of Goshen was arrested and charged with the Class B felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree – Hallucinogenic substance, the Class B felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree – Hallucinogenic substance with intent to sell, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Seventh degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia Second Degree. Also arrested at the residence was Maria Younis, 39, of Goshen who was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Seventh degree. During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement seized over 50 grams of Anabolic Steroids, and over 20 grams of MDMA. Iftikhar was arraigned in the Town of Goshen Court and released on his own recognizance. Younis was issued an Appearance Ticket and released.
