State Police Catskill are investigating a homicide in the village of Catskill

On November 27, 2021, at approximately 12:31 a.m., members of the Catskill Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing at 39 West Bridge Street, in the village of Catskill.  Upon arrival they located the resident of the apartment, Scott O. Myers age 68 suffering from a stab wound. Life saving measures were unsuccessful and Myers succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, State Police at Catskill charged Carrie E. Weiser age 32 of Catskill with Murder Second Degree, a Class A Felony.  Weiser was arraigned before Justice William R. Jacobs at the Town of Catskill Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.

Carrie Weiser and the victim were known to each other and the case is still under investigation.

Investigation was conducted by members of the State Police at the Catskill Barracks, Village of Catskill Police Department, Greene County District Attorney’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, NYSP Troop F Forensic Identification Unit and the NYSP Troop F Computer Crimes Unit.
