State Police in Canandaigua are asking for the public's assistance in locating a wrong way driver on St-Rte 332 in Farmington.

On December 6, 2020, at approximately 5:50 p.m., a State Trooper was driving southbound on St-Rte 332 south of CR-41, when the trooper observed a vehicle northbound in the southbound lane approaching the State Police vehicle.

The trooper moved from the left lane to the right lane and activated the emergency lights.  The wrong way driver passed by and the trooper attempted a U-turn and was struck by another southbound vehicle.

A witness stated, the operator of the vehicle driving the wrong way then made a left hand turn onto CR-41 and continued.  The trooper was uninjured in the accident.
