PRESS RELEASE
 

On July 9, 2022, at approximately 2:46 p.m., the State Police out of Horseheads responded to a property damage accident in the Town of Catlin.  While interviewing the driver, Scott A. McGinnis, age 37, from Horseheads, the trooper detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.  McGinnis submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, subsequently failing them.

McGinnis was transported back to SP Horseheads where he submitted to a breath test, which gave a reported value of .17% BAC. Mr. McGinnis was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and given an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Catlin Court on July 20, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
