State police in Troop F issued 978 tickets and removed 35 impaired motorists from the road during the New Year's Eve weekend.

State Police in Troop F issued 978 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets during the New Year’s Eve weekend. From 5:00 p.m. from Thursday December 31, 2020 through 5:00 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2020, New York State Troopers in Troop F issued tickets for 250 speeding violations, 24 distracted driving violations, 32 seatbelt violations, 9 child restraint violations, 4 move-over violations, and removed 35 impaired motorists from the roadway. 14 of those motorists were charged with DWI from New Year’s Eve till New Year’s Day. State police also responded to 68 vehicle accidents. Troop F includes Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Greene Counties.
