PRESS RELEASE
 

On July 10, 2022, at approximately 3:53 p.m., the State Police in Wellsburg conducted a traffic stop of a motorist on Main Street, in the village of Wellsburg.  While interviewing the driver, Thomas J. Brennan, age 45, from Breesport, the trooper detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.  Brennan submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, subsequently failing them.

Brennan was transported back to SP Wellsburg where he submitted to a breath test, which resulted in a .11% BAC, and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a previous conviction within 10 years, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree.  Brennan was given appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Wellsburg Court on August 2, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.
