On October 7, 2021 at approximately 2:30 am, State Police in Wilton responded to a one car roll-over motor vehicle accident in the Town of Wilton on Interstate-87 north bound in the area of exit 16.  The vehicle operator fled on foot and was taken into custody a short distance from the scene.  The vehicle involved, a 2018 Porsche Panamera, was found to be a stolen vehicle taken from the City of Albany.

While interviewing the driver, 28-year-old Evan T. Febres of Stillwater, the Troopers observed signs of intoxication.  Febres was taken into custody and transported to SP Wilton for processing where he refused to submit to a chemical test.

Febres was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 2nd degree (a class C felony) and Driving While Intoxicated (a misdemeanor).
