State Police in Wolcott investigate fatal motorcycle accident.

SP Wolcott Troopers investigated a fatal one-vehicle accident that happened in the early morning hours of May 29, 2022.

Troopers were dispatched to 6750 Wolcott Street in Red Creek for the report of an unresponsive motorcyclist lying in the driveway.

Further Investigation revealed that, sometime overnight, Bret R. Gascoigne Jr. (DOB 7/6/99) was operating an unregistered Yamaha YZ125 dirt bike northbound on ST-104A when he lost control of the vehicle, exited the roadway, collided with a parked vehicle in the driveway of 6750 Wolcott Street, and was thrown from the dirt bike.

Gascoigne, who was not wearing a helmet, appeared to have died on impact. He was removed to Clifton Springs Hospital pending autopsy.
