PRESS RELEASE
 

On August 4, 2022, at approximately 4:58 p.m., the State Police responded to a 1 vehicle fatal accident on Younglove Road in the town of Wolcott.

Investigators have found, the operator of the vehicle was traveling westbound and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to exit the roadway, overturn, and became completely submerged in a creek.  

Troopers say that there were 7 passengers in the vehicle when it overturned,  three of the passengers were ejected, two self extracted themselves from the vehicle, and two more were extracted.

The deceased, identified as Joseph Zufelt, age 5, was taken to Oswego Hospital.

Dylan Camp, age 17, from Red Creek was taken to Upstate Hospital for minor injuries,.

Isaac Moody, age 14, from Martville, was taken to Strong Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

Kolby Sincerbeaux, age 17, from Red Creek, was taken to Strong Hospital with serious injuries.

Izabella Sincerbeaux, age 14, from Red Creek, was taken to Upstate Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

Serenity Benjamin, age 10, from Oswego, was taken to Upstate Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

The operator, Kayla Perrotta, age 28, from Oswego, was taken to Oswego Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing at this time and more information will be released when it becomes available.
