PRESS RELEASE
 

On March 28, 2020,.at approximately 6:17 p.m. State Police responded to the Perkins Restaurant on State Route 3 in the town of Plattsburgh for a report of a burglary. An investigation revealed that an unknown male unlawfully entered into the restaurant and the Plattsburgh Brewing Company, stole six bottles of liquor, and then left the scene. 

The male was located and identified later on March 31, 2020, when State Police responded to a report of a male acting suspiciously outside of the Plattsburgh Wal-Mart at around 8 p.m. 36-year-old Michael J. Betters of Champlain was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree. He was also found to have a parole warrant issued by New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Betters was arraigned at Plattsburgh Town Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail without bail.
