July 28, 2020- An autopsy has determined that the cause of death of Kyle Reddington was accidental drowning. The autopsy was performed at Albany Medical Center by Dr. Michael Sikirica.

The New York State Police in conjunction with the New York State Park Police, are currently investigating a suspected drowning that took place at Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes.

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 26, 2020, New York State Park Police responded to Peebles Island State Park for a possible drowning. A female victim was observed floating face down in the water by two passing hikers. The hikers entered the water and attempted lifesaving measures, they were assisted by a male who had come to the area to swim with the victim.

The victim, identified as 26-year-old Kyle Reddington of Troy, was transported via ambulance to Samaritan Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
