State Police confirm the identity of the driver killed in yesterday’s fatal motor vehicle accident in Fulton County to be that of 43-year-old Victoria F. Sweatt of Hudson, N.Y.

Preliminary investigation has determined that Sweatt was traveling north on State Route 30 in a 2012 Hyundai Elantra, when her vehicle crossed into the southbound lane colliding head-on with a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer, which was headed southbound at the time of the collision, was operated by 57-year-old Daniel Barr of Cobleskill.

State Police are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident in the Town of Mayfield.

At approximately 10:40 a.m. Troopers responded to State Route 30 just south of Woods Hollow Road, for a car versus tractor-trailer. The driver of the car was killed in the collision. Weather is believed to have been a contributing factor.

The identity of the deceased will be released once family notifications have been completed. This investigation is currently ongoing, any updates will be posted to the newsroom.
