State Police investigate fatal accident in the town of Dix.

PRESS RELEASE
 

On November 24, 2022, at approximately 7:20 a.m., the State Police responded to a single vehicle - lone occupant fatal accident on St-414 in the town of Dix, Schuyler County.

The operator identified as, Jason Ellsworth, age 47, from Corning was traveling southbound on St-414 and lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle exited the west shoulder of the roadway and struck an earth embankment causing it to overturn.

First responders provided life saving measures at the scene and Ellsworth was  transported to Schuyler Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

 

The investigation is continuing.
