The State Police release the name of the motorist killed last night on St-Rte 350 in Walworth.

Anthony Salamida, age 41, from Palmyra was killed when the vehicle he was operating left the roadway, struck a tree, and he was ejected.

Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor.

The investigation is continuing,


On June 16, 2021, at approximately 8:46 p.m., the State Police responded to a serious injury accident on St-Rt 350 in the town of Walworth. A motorist was southbound on St-Rte 350, and for an unknown reason, left the roadway and struck a tree.  The sole occupant was ejected from the vehicle and was airlifted to Strong Hospital where the operator succumbed to their injuries.

The name of the deceased will be released after the family is notified and the investigation is continuing.
