State Police investigate fatal crash in Canandaigua.

On July 24, 2022, at approximately 7:49 p.m., the State Police responded to a 1 vehicle, 1 occupant fatal accident on Lake Hill Road in the town of Canandaigua.  Investigators located a vehicle that was traveling southbound and drove off the east shoulder and struck a utility box causing minor damage.  When troopers arrived, the operator, Daniel Rice, age 70, from Canandaigua, was unresponsive and was transported to FF Thompson Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated and State Police are not ruling out a possible medical event may have occurred prior to the crash.
