PRESS RELEASE
On May 21, 2023, at 5:40 a.m., State Police in Remsen responded to Steuben Valley Road in the town of Trenton for a 1-vehicle rollover crash.
The preliminary accident investigation has determined a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, operated by Russell A. Lazarek, age 21, from Holland Patent, NY, was traveling westbound on Steuben Valley Road approaching Post Road when it exited the roadway, traveled down an earth embankment where it overturned multiple times, and ejecting the operator.
Mr. Lazarek was pronounced deceased at the scene.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Trenton Fire Department and STaR Ambulance
