State Police investigate fatal motorcycle accident in Bath.

On July 29, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m.,the State Police responded to a serious injury motorcycle accident on I-86 in the town of Bath.

The operator, identified as, Casey Getman, age 29, was eastbound on I-86 and attempted to pass between 2 vehicles, also traveling eastbound, and lost control of the motorcycle and struck the guide rail.

Getman was airlifted to Strong Hospital and was pronounced deceased at 3:33 p.m.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the investigation is continuing.
