State Police investigate a personal injury accident on State Route 3

On November 27, 2022, around 10:15 a.m. State Police patrolled to the intersection of State Route 56 and State Route 3, in the town of Colton for a personal injury accident.  An investigation determined Ivan Madrid, 55 of New Canaan, CT was traveling at a high rate of speed in a black Honda Accord, failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a gray CRV, operated by Linda M. Weaver, 58 of Hartford, VT.  Weaver was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for internal pain, non-life-threatening injuries.

Madrid was issued vehicle traffic tickets returnable to Town of Colton Court for Failed to stop at a stop sign, and Speed not reasonable.
