State Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Saturday evening in the town of Chester.

At approximately 7:10 p.m. State Police responded to a domestic incident at a residence in Olmsteadville. Upon arriving on the scene, patrols located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was life-flighted to Albany Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.

The suspect, 72-year-old Susan F. Bohmer of Chester, was also located at the scene and was taken into custody without incident. Bohmer has been charged with Attempted Murder 2nd degree (A felony), Assault 1st degree (B felony), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (C felony).

Bohmer  was arraigned in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Part and has been remanded to Warren County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Chester Town Court on May 4, 2021.
