On March 1, 2023, at 5:09 a.m., State Police in Watertown responded to a three-vehicle crash on State Route 11 just north of Conklin Road in the town of LeRay.
A 2014 Chevrolet Impala, operated by Kevin J, Brown, age 20 from Clubb, Missouri was traveling southbound on State Rt 11 when he crossed over into the northbound lane and subsequently struck the driver’s side of a 2016 UPS semi-tractor unit, operated by Roy D. Graves, age 38 from Potsdam, NY and the front end of a 2023 Ford Explorer, operated by Geovanny Santana, age 34 from Woodbridge, Virginia causing it to roll over on its passenger side.
Brown was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with internal injuries and was listed in critical condition.
Graves was not injured in the crash. Santana was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with internal injuries. Three passengers in his vehicle (17 yo, 14yo, and 4yo) were transported to Samaritan Medical Center for further evaluation.
The investigation is continuing.
