PRESS RELEASE
On Sunday August 9, 2020 at approximately 10:46am the State Police received a call for a vehicle collision in the area of the Southern State Parkway and Old Britton Road in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County. A vehicle traveling westbound on the Southern State Parkway left the roadway onto Old Britton Road and stuck a pickup truck and a parked vehicle. There were four occupants in the vehicle, 2 occupants in the pickup truck and the parked vehicle was unattended. Of the people in the vehicle, two adults and one infant was injured and the other occupant was seriously injured and all were taken to area hospitals. The two occupants in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.
The cause of this collision is ongoing and the State Police is asking for anyone with information to call (631) 756-3300.
