PRESS RELEASE
 

Today at approximately 9:19 a.m., the State Police investigated a 3-vehicle serious injury accident on I-390 southbound, just north of Lyell Avenue.  Southbound traffic was slowing when a southbound jeep struck a Honda Fit passenger car from behind which then struck a pickup truck.

The operator in the Honda Fit had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Gates Fire Department and transported to Strong Hospital.

The operator of the Jeep was also taken to Strong Hospital for treatment and the operator of the pickup truck was not injured.

The operator of the jeep was ticketed for several infractions including driving with a suspended license and registration.
