State Police investigated a personal injury crash involving an overturned tractor trailer on I-90 in the town of Lancaster.

Lancaster, NY – On September 29, 2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m., State Police responded to a rollover crash involving a tractor trailer on I-90 in the town of Lancaster, Erie County.

The crash occurred at mile marker 411, between Depew and Pembroke exits.  The driver of the tractor trailer, Laura M. Winspear, 25, of Oakfield, NY, was traveling eastbound when, for reasons still under investigation, she lost control of the tanker, left the roadway, and overturned several times. 

Once Winspear was extricated from the vehicle, she was air lifted to Erie County Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.  The tanker was hauling liquid manure which leaked onto the roadway.  Environmental Conservation Police responded to the scene to assist with the non-hazardous spill.  No tickets were issued as a result of the crash. 

All lanes were reopened and traffic delays were cleared by around 9:00 p.m.
