State Police are currently investigating a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian auto accident in the Village of Middleburgh.

At approximately 2:23 p.m. today, Troopers responded to Baker Avenue near the intersection of Main Street for a pedestrian that had been struck by a municipal dump truck.

Preliminary investigation determined that 56-year-old Terri L. Puchala of Middleburgh, was struck and killed by a dump truck that had been involved in snow removal efforts.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing, details will be posted on the newsroom as they become available
