State Police in Cobleskill are asking the public’s assistance with the investigation into a series of vehicle larcenies that took place in the town of Middleburgh.

Troopers responded to the parking area for the Vroman’s Nose hiking trail on Mill Valley Road in Middleburgh yesterday, after 5 cars were broken into. Each vehicle had a window smashed and valuables that were in plain sight were taken.

It is believed that these “smash and grab” larcenies took place between 12:01 p.m. and 12:17 p.m. on October 20, 2019. Anyone who may have information regarding the incident or those involved is asked to contact SP Cobleskill at 518-234-9400.

State Police also want to remind the public to keep valuables out of sight if they are left in a vehicle.
