On March 16, 2021 at approximately 7:30 p.m. a trooper from the Haverstraw barracks observed a 2006 Toyota Corolla on State Route 202 in the town of Haverstraw in violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The trooper initiated a traffic stop. The operator failed to comply and fled the area. The vehicle entered the Palisades Interstate Parkway southbound and began driving in and out of traffic in a reckless and unsafe manner while reaching a top speed of 85 mph. The vehicle was stopped by troopers at exit 10. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Jeremy Singh, age 24 from the town of Haverstraw. Singh was driving with a suspended license. He was charged with the misdemeanors: Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree, Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving as well as 12 tickets. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Haverstraw Court on April 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
