PRESS RELEASE

On June 28, 2022, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the State Police located the body of a deceased female in a shallow body of water in the area of the Spaulding Green Parkway and Goodrich Road, in the town of Clarence.

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation have identified the body as an 18-year-old female of the Clarence area.

UPDATED At this time the State Police believe that there is no evidence of foul play involved in this incident, and there is no danger to the public. The NYSP is working with the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office and a toxicology exam is pending results.

The NYSP Forensic Identification Unit, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the Clarence Center Fire Department assisted in this incident.

This is still an active investigation.
