State Police make arrest following Albany road rage incident

On January 4, 2023, State Police of the Capital, with the assistance of the New York State University Police, arrested Kiara J. Myrick, 24, of Niskayuna, NY, for Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class “E” felony and Assault in the Third Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor. 

On January 4, 2023, at about 8:51 a.m. Trooper received the report of a road rage incident at the I-90, exit two intersection with Washington Avenue in Albany, NY. The investigation determined Myrick damaged the vehicle window and caused injury to the other driver. The victim was treated on scene and released by EMS.  Myrick was located driving a short distance from the location, stopped, and taken into custody by New York State University Police.

Myrick was transported to SP Capital for processing. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Albany City Court on January 16, 2023, and released.
