State Police make Leandra Law arrest following an Albany crash investigation

On February 21, 2023, State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol arrested Kellyann T. Findley, 49, of Albany, NY, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law) and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On February 21, 2023, at about 10:02 p.m. Trooper responded to the report of a rollover crash on the I-90 ramp onto I-787 in Albany, NY.  Findley was identified as the driver and initially denied injuries.  A child under the age of 17 was located in the vehicle uninjured and was turned over to a sober party.  

Findley was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Laws. She was transported to SP Latham for processing, where she requested medical attention and was transported to Albany Medical Center by EMS for evaluation. She was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on March 3, 2023.
