On July 30, 2022, State Police partnered with the New York State Park Police to hold a Buckle Up New York checkpoint on Old Saratoga Road in the area of the Moreau State Park entrance. 

State Police and State Park Police issued 46 tickets during the event. 18 of the tickets issued were for a seatbelt violation and two were child restraint violations.  During the event State Police took the opportunity to educate multiple families on child passenger safety and proper installation of child restraints.
