PRESS RELEASE
 

On September 2, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the State Police in Waterloo responded to a residence on Disinger Road in the Town of Fayette for the report of a one year old child being struck by a vehicle when the operator attempted to back into the family garage.

Troopers, the North Seneca Ambulance service, and multiple other agencies responded to provide care for the infant. 

The infant was airlifted by Life Net to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office has an autopsy scheduled for later today. 

The investigation is continuing.
