On Monday, September 14, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. State Police Ellenville responded to passenger vehicle/tractor trailer collision on State Route 209 in Marbletown. Initial investigation revealed that the operator of 2003 Chevrolet Malibu traveling east failed to yield the right of way to a 2020 Peterbilt tractor trailer, The Peterbilt was unable to avoid the collision and struck the Malibu causing the trailer to become detached from the cab and overturning and spilling its contents (gravel) onto the roadway. The operator of the Chevrolet Malibu, an 89 year old male from Olivebridge, NY was transported to Westchester Medical Center via LifeNet Medivac.
