UPDATED INFORMATION:
On February 14, 2023, Troopers discovered the body of Tyler J. Moroughan in an abandoned garage at 67 Champion Street in the village of West Carthage. Investigators examined the scene and determined that there is no evidence of any criminal activity and the investigation has been closed.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the West Carthage Police Department.
State Police in Lowville is attempting to locate a Missing Person, 30-year-old Tyler J. Moroughan who was reported missing on Sunday, January 8, 2023, leaving a residence on Champion Street in West Carthage, Jefferson County.
Mr. Moroughan is 5 foot 9 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has known acquaintances in both Jefferson and Lewis Counties.
