UPDATED: State Police Search for Missing/Vulnerable Adult in Herkimer County

Mr. Dager was found this afternoon by Troopers deceased in a wooded area approximately a half mile from his residence.  The scene appeared consistent with that of a natural death. 

The investigation is continuing.

State Police in Herkimer is attempting to locate a Missing Person - a vulnerable adult, 58-year-old Jan L. Dager was reported missing on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from his residence on Heller Road in the town of Salisbury, Herkimer County.

Mr. Dager is 5 foot 8 inches tall, 226 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, and black sweatpants.  Dager left in an unknown direction of travel with no cell phone.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Jan Dager, they are asked to contact 911 or State Police at Troop D Headquarters (315) 366-6000.
