New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with a shooting that occurred in the village of Groton early Sunday morning. 

On October 10, 2021, shortly after 7:30 a.m., New York State Police at Ithaca responded to a man shot in the village of Groton.  The unidentified suspect fled the area south on Williams Street in a dark colored Mercedes.

The gunshot victim, a 30-year-old man was shot outside of a residence on East Cortland Street and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.  He was transported to a local hospital and has since been released.    

New York State Police were also assisted by village of Groton Police, Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies and Groton Ambulance.
