PRESS RELEASE
 

This morning at approximately 6:40 a.m., the State Police were looking for a stolen vehicle reported to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.  Troopers and the Rochester Police Department had units on West Avenue looking for the stolen car.

At one point a trooper traveling westbound on West Avenue lost control of his State Police Unit, left the roadway, and struck a cement stairway near a residence.

The trooper was not injured and the investigation is continuing.
