Staten Island resident arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

Staten Island, New York - On the night of Friday, February 17, 2023, troopers from SP Rockaways arrested Qin W. Chen, age 31, of Staten Island, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated - an unclassified misdemeanor.

The troopers were patrolling near the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 BMW 850i, operated by Chen, for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed Chen to be impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Chen was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and remanded to Richmond County Central Booking pending arraignment.
