PRESS RELEASE
 
On March 28th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Vernon Pierce, 24, of Steamburg, for Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment 2nd Degree.
 
The Troopers and Cattaraugus County Deputies responded to a gas station in Steamburg, NY, for a report of a past-tense domestic dispute. The victim reported that Pierce arrived at her residence in an intoxicated condition, pushed her into a wall while holding a child, and threatened her life and the lives of the multiple children at the residence. Further investigation revealed that the victim was the protected party in an order of protection against Pierce. Pierce was located at the victim’s residence and placed under arrest. Pierce was processed at SP Jamestown, arraigned virtually and released on his own recognizance. Pierce is scheduled to appear in the town of Cold Spring Court on a later date.
