On October 4, 2019, State Police in Greenwich arrested 29-year-old Michael D. Treco of Southampton, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (B felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (D felony), and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree (violation).
Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Friday night, State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on State Route 29 in the town of Greenwich after it was observed operating without a brake lamp.
When a Trooper interviewed the driver, Michael Treco, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the car.
A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed that Treco was in possession of approximately 10 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 1 gram of cocaine, and 5 grams of marijuana.
Treco was taken into custody and transported to SP Greenwich for processing following which, he was transported to Washington County Jail for centralized arraignment.
