On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, State Police charged Nicholas A. Fiebka, 19, of Schenectady, with two counts of murder 2nd degree following an investigation into a homicide in Princetown. 

On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at about 12:05 p.m., State Troopers and Deputies from the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Reynolds Road in Princetown to check on the welfare of a resident who failed to show up for work.

After arriving at the scene, Troopers and Deputies discovered the bodies of William E. Horwedel, 61, and Alesia I. Wadsworth, 60, deceased inside the home. Both victims had been shot. 

A short time later, Sheriff’s Deputies took Fiebka into custody in the city of Schenectady for questioning. 

Fiebka, who is the son of victim Alesia Wadsworth, was arraigned this morning at Schenectady County central arraignment and was ordered held at the county jail. He’s due back in Princetown town court on November 28. 

Victim William E. Horwedel is the father of two State Troopers who are assigned to Troop G.

The Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office,  the Schenectady Police Department, and the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office are assisting with the investigation.
