Suspicious situation leads to DWAI Drug Arrest for Dunkirk man

On January 12, 2021 at 5:00am, Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested Andrew K. Studley, 39 of Dunkirk, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

Troopers responded to a 911 call about a male slumped over in a vehicle in the parking lot of JoJo’s Cafe in the village of Cassadaga.  Troopers located the vehicle and observed Studley asleep with the driver’s side window down, the keys in the ignition and the vehicle still running.  During the interview, Studley displayed signs of impairment including droopy eyelids, slurred speech and impaired motor coordination. Studley also failed standardized field sobriety tests administered at the scene.

Studley was arrested and processed at SP Fredonia.  He consented to a blood draw at Brooks Memorial Hospital after being interviewed by a Drug Recognition Expert.  He was later released with tickets to appear in the town of Stockton court later this month.
