Farmington, NY - On June 4, 2020, at approximately 10:00 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Farmington, for a vehicle and traffic violation. While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants was established.  The driver, Rameer M. Robinson, 21, of Syracuse, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 2.3 grams of crack cocaine and a Modesto Santos 7.65mm semi-automatic pistol.  The gun was located in the vehicle, unloaded.  Robinson did not have a pistol permit to legally possess a handgun. 

 

During the Troopers investigation, it was also determined that the Robinson had an active stay away order of protection against him from the passenger in the vehicle, issued by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. 

 

Robinson was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Junius Ponds where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, and Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree; all Class A Misdemeanors.

 

Robinson was turned over to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office for arraignment.
