PRESS RELEASE

On April 3, 2021, State Police in North Syracuse arrested Jeffrey G. Gordon, age 37, from Syracuse, NY, for (3) counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree, a class ā€œEā€ felony, and (1) count of Petit Larceny, a class ā€œAā€ misdemeanor.

The Home Depot Loss Prevention Office in Camillus contacted State Police after they discovered that Mr. Gordon was creating barcodes for lower amount items, scanning the fake barcodes at the self-checkout, and paying the fraudulently lower prices. An investigation determined Mr. Gordon had done this 28 times from November 2020 until February 2021, in Dewitt, Camillus, Clay, Cicero, Auburn, and Watertown.  The total amount of theft across all counties and townships is approximately $10,000.

Gordon was processed at SP North Syracuse and released on appearance tickets.
