The New York State Police Troop D Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) with the assistance of an FBI Violent Crimes Special Agent conducted a Gun Interdiction Detail in Onondaga County (outside the city) over the last two days (March 9th & 10th).
On March 9, 2022, State Police Investigator Patrick McCormack and Trooper Newell Field arrested Moab M. Agnew-El, age 29 from Midland Ave Syracuse, NY for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (B Felony), Criminal Possession of a Firearm (E-Felony), Criminal Possession of A Controlled Substance 7th degree (A-Misdemeanor), and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (A-Misd).
Agnew-El was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Dewitt after he was found in possession of a loaded .380 Beretta semi-auto handgun, 4.3 grams of Heroin, and a digital scale containing narcotics residue. He was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center to await arraignment procedures.
