On September 1, 2021 the New York State Police arrested 39-year-old Phillip D. Jackson of Syracuse, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, a class D felony and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, a class E felony.

Shortly before 4:00a.m. Wednesday morning, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office initiated a vehicle pursuit after a License Plate Reader identified the vehicle as stolen out of Syracuse, NY. The pursuit began in the town of Palatine and was picked up in the village of Nelliston by State Police.

The pursuit continued into the town of Sharon, Schoharie County, where the suspect vehicle went into a ditch near the intersection of State Route 20 and Pomella Road.  Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. The driver, later identified as Phillip Jackson, was taken into custody after a short foot chase. The passenger has not yet been located.

Jackson was processed at SP Princetown and arraigned in Sharon Town Court. He was remanded to Schoharie County Jail.
